DuPage and Will County Young Democrats Launch July 26 Political Forum

 

Gayl Ferraro, Chair of the Democratic Party of DuPage County, today announced that young Democrats from DuPage and Will Counties will hold a political forum on Thursday, July 26 at 7:00 pm at the Local 701 IBEW Hall, 28600 Bella Vista Parkway in Warrenville.

The political forum will include a panel discussion with questions and answers, which focus on multiple avenues of political engagement, such as working for campaigns, why your vote does count and running for public office. Democratic State Central Committeewoman Julia Beckman will moderate the panel.

Speakers invited to the event are Alex Armour, DL21C; Mike Keene, South Chicago Young Democrats; Magen Ryan, Young Democrats; Bruce DuMont, Beyond the Belt way and Harvey Wells, WCPT. Mike Keene will address the development of the South Chicago Young Democrats, which is a group of 200 high school students.

Young Democrats ages are typically from eighteen through thirty-five. High school caucuses are sometimes included.

The event is free and open to the general public. Members of the media are welcome.
