DEMOCRAT JOE VOSICKY OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR 46TH DISTRICT SEAT
Joe Vosicky officially announced today that he is a Democratic candidate for State Representative in the 46th District.
Vosicky wants to take a common sense approach to making decisions impacting the citizens of Illinois, with full accountability to the voters of the 46th District.
If elected, Vosicky’s major objectives are to:
§ Find a long-term school funding solution to end the cycle of financial crisis that puts finding dollars ahead of the education of our children.
§ Maintain funding for successful state-sponsored health care programs, push for negotiated drug prices for those programs, and seek out new solutions for our growing health care crisis.
§ Encourage investment in the jobs of the future, while protecting the pensions of today’s workers, and pushing for programs like association health plans that would make it easier for small businesses to recruit and retain skilled workers.
§ Finish transportation infrastructure projects already underway, and develop alternative transportation options geared toward reducing traffic on overcrowded roadways.
Joe Vosicky is an attorney working in general practice since 1981, and is a Fulbright Visiting Law Professor. He has served as an arbitrator in Cook and DuPage Counties, and as a member of the Illinois Task Force on Political Representation. He is also on the Board of Directors of the John Howard Association. An Elmhurst resident since 1988, Vosicky garnered 38% of the vote against Lee Daniels in the 2004 election.
