Pete Null, Chairman of the Bloomingdale Township Democratic Organization, called today for answers from local officials in light of recent disclosures of taxpayers’ dollars being paid into local Republican coffers. “This is not an issue of politics,” said Null. “This is a question of ethics, if not outright legal violations.”
Null went on to call for Carol Pankau and the Bloomingdale Township Republicans to return all money given to them from Bloomingdale Township taxing bodies.
According to campaign disclosure records, Pankau received $704.00 from the Glenside Fire Protection District and $600.00 from the Bloomingdale Fire Protection District. The Bloomingdale Township Republican Organization, according to disclosures, received $900.00 from the Bloomingdale Park District and $480.00 from the village owned Bloomingdale Golf Course.
“This is government under Republican leadership in DuPage County,” Mr. Null concluded. “It seems to me a change is in order.”
The Bloomingdale Township Democratic Organization stands for the advancement of better government for the people through the selection and support of outstanding citizens for elective offices at the county, state and federal levels of government.
