I founded, and served voluntarily as the Executive Director of the

We spearheaded and won the Largest Civil Class Action Law suit in the  History of the U.S. for housing Discrimination against Hispanics.

Under my leadership, our extremely grass-roots efforts were recognized Locally and Nationally, as we were recipients of the following awards:
  • The Chicagoan of the Year Award (1997)
  • The Citizens Advocacy Center Award -
  • The Chicago Tribune Rising Star Award
  • The Hope for Fair Housing Award
  • The Maldef Award - (Mexican American Legal Defense and Education fund )
  • The Illinois Association of Women Award.

We were the first and only organization ever named on the Addison Police Brochure as a gang prevention recourse.

We served as a liaison between the community and the White House during the Clinton administration.

Throughout the entire younger years of my life, I volunteered, then worked for the Jo Davis County Workshop for the “Mentally and Physically challenged” in Galena Il.  (One of the most rewarding times of my life.)

I offer a lifetime of experience, and dedication to  serving others and implementing  change.
