March 24, 2009 (Tuesday)  Democratic Organizations all day, Health Care Legislative Advocacy Day.  In support of "The Health Care for All Illinois Act" (HB 311), we will be traveling to Springfield on March 24. Sponsored by Health Care for All Illinois, the National Nurses' Organizing Committee, the American Medical Students' Association, Physicians for a National Health Program, PDA-Illinois, and other organizations.. We will lobby our representatives, hold a press conference, and visit the House committee hearing on the bill during the day. In the evening there will be a reception ($10) and dinner ($38) at the Governor's mansion honoring sponsors and supporters of the bill. A bus will leave from the DuPage Democrats office at 8:30 AM; contact Laurel Bault (847-666-7664) to reserve a seat -- cost is $50 per person and includes lunch.
